Kimmie and I have been looking at the challenges over the past year. You have all produced wonderful art, so thank you for your support.

We are asking for judges for the challenges, even if you can only do one or two, so if you are interested please contact either me or Kimmie and let us know . We also need prize contributions, so please help.  Many thanks xx

 

This year the challenges will be slightly different. We want to get back to our “Whisper” roots, showing emotions in all of our art. The examples that I have set out on the first journal page show exactly what we mean – they all whisper to you. I hope that they give you inspiration for your own work. All challenges will be guided to a special “feeling”, and we would love your art to reflect that feeling. We hope that you all agree and enjoy the coming challenges.

"Longing"

Someone close to you has moved away? Lost someone? Want something or someone so badly that it hurts? We have all been there at some time in our lives, so let us create it in our art.

DIGITAL WHISPER II FOR GREAT CHALLENGES ON DEVIANT ART


My friend Kimmiekrazykimmiekrazy.deviantart.com/&nb… I have started a new challenge blog for digital art. The theme is Emotional Elegance. It covers all emotions, happy, sad, angry etc, that can be shown in a digital art form. The key to this theme is the choosing of stock to portray the emotion, and how you work with it. We will be giving you lots of ideas and variety, for all levels, from beginner to advanced.
We are a very friendly group who offer support and freindship, to make this a really happy experience. Come whisper with us and open you artistic eyes to new challenges and friends.

Busy Busy Busy

Not had much chance to do much new work over the last couple of weeks. I have been busy with KimmieKrazy setting up a 100 theme challenge at Kimmie's challenge blog www.digitalwhisper.blogspot.com. It's great fun, but hard work. You should come along and have a look - some interesting work just been uploaded. Come and join in if you would be interested - the more the merrier.=)

WOW I did it again

Well I sort of did it again. I entered my piece called "Dying to dance in time", in the one Stock competition at manipulate this. The judges then pick out their favourites and comment on the piece. There are several "winners", all selected in no particular order. I am thrilled. My art must be improving....I hope so anyway.
This was the comment that the judge left for me.

"I really like this deviation and I must say 'Kudos' to *Godiva500 for the decision to take the stock and create a design, instead of a scene. I especially like the addition of the male dancer. The arrangement of the two dancers does make it look like they're relating to one another as they 'dance in time'. The use of a fractal texture isn't something you see often with level 1 members, and the way she used it really enhances this deviation. Well done! Hope to see more images like this from you in the future."
